without the after effects of drugs. Drugs, at the best. are uncertain and far from the source of all healing.

In the early days of Christianity. healing through the spirit was common. The teaching of Jesus on this line was very positive. He sent forth not only the twelve apostles. but also the seventy. and they returned amazed at the power of their word.

Jesus gave instructions that all who followed hint should "heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead..." He told them to do precisely as he did. because he was not different from the rest of humanity. He said that we were one with him and one with the Father.

For three hundred years after Christ this teaching was faithfully followed. Healing was constantly practiced by Christians. It was not until the lust for power and the greed for gold entered the
