brief moments which constrains us to ascribe more reality to them than to all other experiences.

How did we find out that life is mean? In the very fact that we did lies the hope of a new day. We are disturbed by things that former centuries accepted as a normal part of the status quo. Can it be that the Moral Sentiment is more sensitive? Can it be that we are more intolerant of hypocrisy, deceit, rationalization and all of the other negative aspects of life?

In the solitude to which every man is always returning, he has a sanity and revelations which in his passage into new worlds he will carry with him. Never mind the ridicule, never mind the defeat; up again, old heart! --- it seems to say, --- there is victory yet for all justice; and the true romance which the world exists to realize will be the transformation of genius into practical power.

We are passing into a New World. The Spirit will be enthroned in the heart of man. Then will come a philosophy of insight and out of that the transformation of genius into practical power. Then a new economics, a government based on morality, an education that develops the whole man, a humanized science and a religion that is Religion.

To all this we are pointed by this Prophet
