they learn to follow their own impressions as to what they should say and do for individual cases. And many a new practitioner in mental healing has a holy baptism of realization (the third method) with his very first patients, so that he heals instantly one after another. It is not experience that produces the ablest mental healers but faithfulness to Principle in the daily life and realization of the truths he speaks for another.

Truth is so powerful that many times just mechanically expressing it is sufficient, but each healer must endeavor to feel what he says. One statement felt with deep, warm conviction is worth more than a dozen statements that are not realized.

As a definite aid to beginners a regular course of treatment will be described in the following six lessons, each lesson dealing with a set of errors to be overcome when a patient goes gradually, day by day, from his negative state, called disease, to his positive state, perfect health. The course is a Creative Week of manifestation, six days of work, or unfoldment, and a seventh day of rest, or full realization.

As Naaman, the leper, was dipped seven times in the river Jordan and came healed; as the children of Israel compassed Jericho seven days before its walls fell; as the child whom Elisha brought back to life is said to have sneezed seven times in coming to consciousness, so it has seemed an orderly procedure to give most cases a course of seven treatments to wash away the errors of mortality, to raze to the ground delusion’s structures, and cast out the false claims of personal sense.
