Evolution of Psychic Healing
"Evolution is better than Revolution. New Thought Library's New Thought Archives encompass a full range of New Thought from Abrahamic to Vedic. New Thought literature reflects the ongoing evolution of human thought. New Thought's unique inclusion of science, art and philosophy presents a dramatic contrast with the magical thinking of decadent religions that promulgate supersticions standing in the way of progress to shared peace and prosperity." ~ Avalon de Rossett

One may contend equally that the system used heals according to the method used by Jesus Christ documented in Nicolas Notovitch's Book: The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ as being taught to him while in Tibet. The same cures demonstrated by Jesus / Yesua / Issa having also been effected by Buddhist healers.
In an age of modern medicine, miracles that were never conceived of but a decade ago are becoming routine. Yet, throughout history in every culture people have been healed through means we could not previously explain.
Today, psychotherapy and other forms of mental healing have awakened people to underlying principles behind these healings.
Some may believe that the healing abilities of Jesus Christ were unique, yet he is recorded as saying:
"I am telling you the truth: those who believe in me will do what I do—yes, they will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father." ~ John 14:12
Thus whether his methods of healing were through hypnotism, suggestion, or a combination of these with medicinal methods learned during his travels from the age 13 to 33, he himself asked that we see him as an example, not an exception.
Thus one should never consider healing of any kind to be blasphemy, or to fall into the dismal destructive patterns of the Eddyists by denying anyone access to modern medicine. Whatever the method of healing, we welcome the results and should not complain about the method.
Third,
mental, or psychic healing may be effected by psychiatrists, psychologists, spiritual healers, or your next door neighbor, for the simple reason that it demands no particular equipment nor precise timing to bring to its successful operation.
While we must all beware of the false economy concocted by those ministers and spiritual practitioners of various stripes who require payment for such healing services, rather than accept the "love offering," it should not be proscribed or prevented as a service.
We can only remind those we love and those we meet of that ancient saying: "Caveat emptor." Not because these methods of healing are bad, or wrong in any way, but for the fact that they are part of practically every spiritual path, or at least the original versions of those paths. And thus should be part of every person's spiritual practices.
If one observes anyone, in any spiritual path, flogging healing for remuneration, then it is not out of bounds to say that such healers are "in it for the money."
And it should always be recognized that the fundamentalists of any religion will declare that their particular path has a monopoly on healing or miracles.
We can observe this when Dr. Buckley, editor of the "New York Christian Advocate," takes this position emphatically in an article in the February issue of the "Century" on " The Dangers of the Emmanuel Movement." The Congregational Club of Boston, led by the Rev. Dr. George A. Gordon of the Old South Church, has recently placed its veto on the movement, and that noted divine declared that he had told Dr. Worcester, his long-time friend, to his face that he is a "quack."
