know that even our environment is Supreme Being.

We speak of coming into the Divine Presence when we pray as if we could ever withdraw from that Presence.

"Were there no medium about us save the atmosphere, this alone, with its force within our bodies, would lock us about with an inconceivable vigor. Let us remember that the atoms of atmosphere are not matter, but force, and force that both knows and feels. Yet this atmosphere is really a little thing compared with that other medium which holds up the worlds and suns and systems, harder than adamant, more unyielding than the granite hills. This is our environment. In this we walk and leap, in this we carry on our paltry concerns with the powers of God within us." The same truth that will enable us to analyze and understand Genesis will find readjustment and translation of all things; will find the truth of redemption to be the truth of Creation.

Rom. 8:19-25

There is no conflict between the Mosaic account of creation and the gospel of St. John; or the conception and birth of Jesus, according to the gospels of Luke or Matthew. "In the beginning" refers not to time but to an eternal Creative action. It was with God and is God.
