To God, who is pure intelligence, all that is spoken appears in form, and the coming forth of His word is form and is the light of the whole surface; it is the light of the world; "the light that lighteth every man."

"And there was light," means God's word is light. This does not make the face the Source and Cause of light, but proves that expression is the result of light, now we see face to face.
"Let there be" means, let be that which is. "I
am all in all," all light of pure intelligence. When
the eternal is made visible it lights the whole face
of the deep. It is only in light that things are visible. The first word spoken signifies that in the beginning all heaven and earth are made manifest in light.
Let all be as it is, pure light of intelligence. Without the word, which is with God and is God, is not anything made that was made.
The creative action, or causing of His possibilities to appear, is the saying "Let there be light," the revealing of the invisible idea in the light of knowledge and wisdom.
"And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness." Commanded it to shine out of the darkness --- it was in the darkness. God, who is light, is the one who sees the light and sees that it is good. Darkness stands for God's presence unseen. To the Infinite
