The tree, knowledge, itself knowing the all and all to be good and that evil falls short of the truth that all is good, is a guide to right action, thinking, and right word.

God is always right. His ways are just and good. To conclude that evil, ignorance, is good to make wise and that it is undeveloped good, is to ignore the fact that its only meaning is a missing of the truth that we are already made wise, and that, in the Lord God in the bosom of the Father, "I am the Son, the light of the world."

The serpent is the enmity to truth, contradiction of the infinity of God; it is figment of belief, the supposition that there is another power acting in us beside the Lord God, or God Almighty: Knowledge knows that there is nothing more and nothing less than the Infinite and Omnipresent One; that in the Lord God, perfect Being and perfect doing, all exist in Light and are made wise.

There was nothing the Lord God made that was like the serpent in its nature; there was nothing in all that He made, like a query or doubting question or accusation; nothing like "If thou be Christ, save thyself and us."
