17th chapter, there is no reference to Hagar or Ishmael's being cast out, but Ishmael is mentioned as Abraham's son of thirteen years when he was circumcised. In the 21st chapter, Ishmael is born; it is not until Isaac is weaned that Sarah wished to have- Hagth'i cast out, and it was very grievous in Abraham's sight. He rose up early and gave Hagar food and drink. Paul, in Galatians 4:24, calls the story of Abraham an allegory! "Which things are an allegory."

We also find in 12th, 20th and 26th chapters of Genesis the same stories applied to different people. Abraham was called to serve God, the within; "to leave his country," personal and race beliefs. Kindred, personal beliefs; Father's house, inherited beliefs. Abraham obeyed the call, promise followed, more law than promise. Cause and effect. We are to cast out everything of the personal belief, hold only spiritual birth or nature, nothing but divinity; we are divinely human.

Right after Abraham had cast out Ishmael, he was called. The offering of Isaac means that we are to give up that which we love as well as that which we do not love.

Gen. 17: 7

The meaning of "sacrifice" is to make sacred, make everything sacred, the body sacred to life. The promise was to Abraham and his seed. "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee
