human heart as he has done. The littleness and greatness of man are there discerned, almost unconsciously to himself, by the poet, because his eye was fixed, not on man, but on God.

Ps. 7: 11

"God is angry with the wicked every day." The "wicked" are those who do not realize God's presence and power and in their ignorance disobey the law and feel the result.

Truth perceived is ever destroying these false impressions. Expression, from within. Impression, from without. Sin is ignorance there is no escaping from the law of punishment, except by knowledge.

"Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. By me, if any man enter in, he shall go in and out and find pasture. I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. There shall be one fold and one shepherd." Jesus' words, a realization of the deep meaning of this psalm.

"Shepherd the stone foundation of Israel."

"I am the good Shepherd."

"Every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians." A fulfillment of the Twenty-third Psalm in the words of Jesus.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want."

"I am the Good Shepherd."

I shall not want rest: "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures."
