Daniel means, "God is my judge."

First six chapters historical, the last six chapters prophetical.

Dan. 3: 1

Daniel was a youth of noble descent and of high physical and mental endowments. He was carried by Nebuchadnezzar in the third year of Jehoiakim from Jerusalem to Babylon and with other Jewish youths, especially three companions, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, assigned for education at the king's court.

They excel in body and spirit.

"Daniel went in and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would show the king the interpretation."

Very impersonal. The dream, 31st to 36th verse. Duality. Feet, understanding. Stone, means Christ, Truth. Claim of mixed or divided understanding will be broken.
