Salutation, inheritance incorruptible, that fadeth not away.

"Be ye holy for I am holy. Vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers. Being born by the word of God which liveth and abideth forever."

Christ principle in man the chief corner stone.

"Ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation."

Be ready to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you. Jesus preached unto the spirits in prison, the gospel preached to those we believed were dead.

No longer live to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

So they might live according to the law of God.

Second Epistle of Peter - p. 395

Peter wrote this epistle when he apprehended his death, II Peter 1:14, and not long after the former one. It is valuable as containing the last words to his converts of one of the original twelve disciples; also for certain personal experiences, such as the mention of the transfiguration by an eye-witness, II Pet. 1:16-18, and the commendation of Paul and his letters. II Pet. 3:15-16.

2 Peter 1: 8-16

"Be not idle nor unfruitful. We were eye witnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ."
