The tree of Life in the midst of the garden of
Eden is unity of the Creator with heaven and
earth, the paradise of God.
Forbidden fruit --- miscalculation of values. There is only one knowledge, so the figurative
representation of knowledge as a tree, is called "The tree of knowledge of good and evil." The
perfect knowledge of God discriminates between perfection and the false claim that there is imperfection; between being wisdom and being made wise through experience; between the true state
of the finished works of God and the theories that
they are to be finished later through personal
effort; between being whole or Holy and the many
theories by which we are to become whole by
what we do.
"And the river went out of Eden to water the
Garden and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads."
Since the garden of Eden stands for the whole
of God's creation expressed, it follows that all
related of it must describe different parts. This
is shown by the etymology of the word "river --- Nahar," to flow, to move, to cause to shine. It is
the outflowing of the Holy Spirit. God's glory,
