and wisdom of all. So, of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat --- or be of it. "For in the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. In that light in which the claim is made that we are both good and evil, we are separated, in belief, from the Lord God. This is when the belief comes that "man is twain," that soul and body must he parted, and that death is the means by which we enter life.

Divine communion does not consist in contradiction; communion is at-one-ment, like communes with like. Man is to work as God works; he is to be the light and wisdom that illumines his own works; his works are not to give him knowledge or wisdom; man is. I am before I act.

Luke 20:36-38

Nothing is created by creation, hence, no work is done but that which is the result of knowledge and wisdom. In truth the eye is single and the whole of creation is full of the light, knowledge and wisdom of its Maker. The appearance of the serpent is the appearance of a doubting question; and when we attempt to state the truth of the commands of the Lord God to it, as did Eve, it contradicts God's command, hence it is said, "Ye shall not surely die." Not knowing that dying to the truth that all is good, or God, is separation, and that separation is death to the truth of Holy Being --- being whole.
