intelligence of false conclusions. When the head is bruised, the whole is seen to be lifeless, powerless, unreal, unintelligent.

Luke 1: 35

In the true immaculate conception and birth, the seed of the woman destroys all mental and bodily enmity. The Word is the child, so in the child born of the Holy Mary, everything is transformed into Holy Spirit; and there is but one conception and birth for all children. In truth, all children are included in the immaculate conception, there is no other conception.

"Unto woman He said, 'I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception.' " The enmity between the woman and the serpent is the difference between the truth that I am now wise, as God's image and likeness, and the claim that I am to be made wise through experiencing opposites or contradictions within. Our study of Divine Science is vain effort unless we conceive and acknowledge the truth of at-one-ment for ourselves.

One who believes in physical and external causation has as many conceptions as he has opinions based in sensation and appearance.

"To bring forth children in sorrow," means bringing forth, as it were, in inequality and mortality. It is the belief of a loss of equality with God and immortality; and the conceptions of such are greatly multiplied about these results, and
