have halted after seeing our freedom in Spirit. A
shadow crosses our path! To be led by a "cloud"
and " a pillar of fire" instead of by realization
that God's Presence is all, is to be subject to shadows. A realization less than the Presence of full
light is sure to see shadows.
The very belief in the necessity of taking a long
journey to reach Canaan must have within it the
claim of of separation from the Divine, hence a
lack of understanding of our possibilities. This is
the sea that impedes our progress until Divine
Light shows us how to pass it. But lack of consciousness pauses here, and while it hesitates, the
host of Pharaoh is seen coming to overtake. Every
hesitation in the direct path of Light and Truth
brings upon us claims from the past. In true consciousness, " Time shall be no more," then there
will be no past claim recognized but Israel has not
yet entered full consciousness and the old material
claims have not been left very far behind! They
are yet remembered.
" They were sore afraid." "Perfect love
(which is perfect consciousness) casts out all
fear." This fear is another proof that Israel is not
yet perfect in consciousness the journey in the
wilderness has no place in perfect consciousness.
