God is all the time giving form to his eternal Idea. Form is the eternal manifestation of God.

Shape --- our conceptions take shape, or the undeveloped is always shaping his conceptions, "Law obeyed or disobeyed brings different results."

Shape is imperfect and temporal. The Perfect Mind (God) gives form to its perfect Idea, this perfect form appears to man in the shape of his own conceptions until he sees clearly form is perfect and eternal.

A more spiritual conception is suggested in Hebrews 9:28 --- "Unto them that look for him."

If I look for the Christ, this moment the second coming will be to me. It is a matter of our own mental attitude. Those who are not looking for the coming forth of the Christ spirit from within our own souls will not see it, it is just as far off as we put it.

Col. 3: 4

1 John 3: 2

Matt. 26: 31-35
Mark 14: 27-31

Luke 22: 31-38

John 13: 36-38

When we can see the Christ, we shall see ourselves with Him. We shall be conscious of the omnipresence of God as He was and we shall then be able to do the works that he did.

That is positive. There is to be no second coming until we are conscious of the Christ in us; when we are like Jesus, he will appear to us.

Jesus foretells to the apostles the weakness of Peter, and their common danger. He prepares them in a very practical way for what is to follow.
