doubt if we will listen to it. "Fear not, stand still;
see the way in which the Divine saves." This is
the first assurance that quiets thought that it may hear the new command. In this emergency, our
highest thought turns and cries to the Divine and
a strange answer comes: "And the Lord said
unto Moses, 'Wherefore criest thou unto me
Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward,' " as if to say, "I have opened the way by
giving you the understanding how to leave bondage; I can do no more for you, so do not ask Me
for help, but do as I have told you --- go forward,
push on, let no material claims overtake you --
progress out of their reach." "Lift up thy rod
and stretch out thine hand over the sea and divide
it, and the children of Israel shall go on dry
ground through the midst of the sea."
"Lift up thy rod and stretch out thy hand over
the sea" let the thought of thy power, the Truth
over all claims of limitation, be exalted in your
consciousness, then shall you be able to walk
through all claims of separation and lack of power
upon the knowledge of a firm and fixed foundation; you shall not then lose your "footing," you
will know whereon you stand, you will be able to
walk through, or progress right on in spite of
seeming limitations, because conscious of your
true power and certain of the ground of your
faith.
