I execute judgment"; against all the good that the material sense claims. One says, "In each of the plagues of Egypt, some one idol of the Egyptians is struck at." This is suggestive that when Love cannot draw us from our false ideas of good, it drives us by destroying that claim of good.

Isa. 29: 13-14

We need not be surprised, after more light has come, that we cannot go back and find the same satisfaction in our old forms of service, or in our old beliefs of life. It is Truth in its work of destroying our many loves that we may find all in the one changeless love.

Luke 17: 21

The ten plagues drive us to seek wisdom in something more substantial and enduring than man's opinions of Truth. Each individual must

learn not to draw from many sources to perfect his consciousness, but to draw from, or be sustained entirely by, the one source within. " The kingdom of God is within you." The plagues come to us when the external begins to lose its attractiveness to our thought and the inner or spiritual seems the only desirable possession. Then, that which has tempted thought to turn from Spirit, is given up, and we start on our search for the better thing.

The slowness with which we emerge from under the shackles of external claims is further illustrated to us in the long wilderness journey. As Israel obediently followed Moses, so must our
